Seperate the Legitimate Paid Surveys from the Paid Online Survey Scams by: Editor
I have to add to this that there are the less exciting sides to it too. Some will take your time to present you offers and encourage to take action with misleading promises, while I'm sure they receive their kickbacks in return.
Today I signed up to "surveynetworks.com." Upon confirming, was presented with some offers, one of them to answer a survey in exchange for an instant reward of $20.00.
After spending some time to complete the survey, I was encouraged to click through on a link (being told that only by going there from that link I'll be able to pick up my reward, perhaps because of their partnership code being embedded in the link so that they get credited for a referral), and brought to a page suggesting to redeem my certificate, but in order to get rewarded I was instructed to do this:
"To redeem your certificate, make your selections (you must place a $60 minimum order to receive the savings), go to CHECKOUT and your $20 savings will be automatically applied!"
Got the spin? That's the "instant $20.00 reward" I was promissed. In order to get rewarded for completing the survey, I had to make a purchase, and my "$20 savings will be automatically applied!"
That's what I had to spend my time for, alledgedly to be rewarded for doing an online survey. If this is not misleading, I don't know what it is.
