Can survey companies rip you off?

You bet they can.

So, watch out not to be scammed bypaid survey companies, because they can take your money and - vanish.

Some people have had bad experience with so-called paid survey companies. They've been offered to take paid surveys at home, but they never actually got paid for taking the surveys.

Worse, when they tried to inquire, they soon learned that the paid survey web site is shut. It did not exist anymore. It was a paid surveys scam.

Also, when a survey company asks you a sign-up fee in exchange of access to paid survey directories, and what you get is a list of expired and outdated survey offers, so that's a survey scam too.

If you've been offered access to paid survey directories and you need some help, but no one seems to respond, and you don't get good customer service, thats not fair either. You've paid, so you deserve good paid survey customer support.

And what if you're not completely satisfied and you want to get your money back while its still within the specified time to ask for a refund, but the company simply ignores you and they don't refund your money?

That would be a violation and fraudulent use of your money. You should get your money back from a legitimate paid survey company according to the refund policy.

You see, sometimes you can get ripped off by survey scams, and you can not only lose your money, but if you happen to fall prey to a paid-survey scam, you may become a victim of identity theft, and your information can be shared with others.

You can start to get bombarded with spam E-mail, too.

Have you signed up with a paid survey company, and got a survey offer, but are said that first you have to buy a product and only then you can take the survey?

This can be a scam. You should not have to pay for taking a survey. This is different from paying for access to a survey list. After signing up for a survey directory site, you should not have to buy a product and pay again in order to be eligible to fill out a survey.

Likewise, if after signing up for a survey directory list, your'e contacted by a company wanting you to fill out a survey, but they ask for very personal info that you're not supposed to be asked for, like your credit card information etc., dont. Watch out from those thieves.

Dont respond to them.
